What is bone broth?

Bone broth has been around for centuries, and it’s no surprise. The age-old culinary staple is seeing a revival again since the rise of the paleo lifestyle. Broth is a powerful superfood rich in vitamins, minerals and collagen, all of which are easily absorbed to due to the long simmer process. Good-for-you bone broth is made from grass-fed and finished beef bones and truly pasture-raised chicken bones, all of which come from responsible and regenerative farming practices. Our broths are good for you and the environment.

Where do your ingredients come from?

All of our chicken bones come from a small family farm passionate about making a big change in the local food system. The chickens are truly pasture raised, meaning they live outside 24/7. They are located in Southern CA. Our vegetables are all grown organically and locally sourced, whenever possible. Just like the quality of the bones matter, so does the water used to cook the bones. We only use Reverse Osmosis/Filtered Alkaline water.

How are your bone broths prepared?

Our chicken bones are slow cooked at low heat for 24 hours; this is necessary to extract all the vitamins and minerals that your body will later easily absorb in a liquid form. The broth is then cooled and immediately frozen to preserve all the wonderful nutrients. We never use preservatives.

Why should I incorporate bone broth into my diet?

A strong, healthy beautiful body starts from within. Your immune system resides in your gut so it makes sense to start there. Your body is constantly being bombarded with toxins that age you and make you sick. Bone broth is rich in minerals that support the immune system and contains restorative compounds like collagen, glutamine, glycine and proline. The collagen in bone broth can aid in repairing your gut lining and reduce intestinal inflammation as well as improve the appearance of your hair, skin and nails.

I'm following a special diet, will Broth RX meet my needs?

Our bone broths are gluten free, sugar free and paleo friendly. As always, you should check with your doctor when embarking on a new nutrition regimen. We also have a registered dietitian on staff.

Where does Broth RX deliver?

Broth RX delivers for FREE in California right now as well as parts of Arizona, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington state. If you are outside of our shipping area contact us at so we can arrange shipping to you.

How is BrothRX delivered?

Our broths are shipped in 100% recyclable box. They are kept frozen with dry ice. Your broth should arrive dry and frozen. As soon as your shipment arrives make sure you put in the freezer or thaw in refrigerator.

How are your broths packaged?

Our broths are packaged in super convenient paper cups that can be frozen and microwaved, making it really easy to consume broth on the go. Our cups also have lids that can be used to sip like coffee.

Do I have to be home when my broth arrives?

No, you don’t need to be home for your broth to be delivered.

How long does it last?

Our broths last 6 months in the freezer. The expiration date on your broth is the frozen expiration date. Once you have thawed your broth it will last 7 days in the refrigerator.

How do I thaw and reheat my broth?

Once you get your shipment you can place your broth in the freezer, to store for later use or place in refrigerator to defrost. To completely defrost in refrigerator it will take a couple of days. The broth can be heated in two ways, stovetop or microwave. We highly recommend using the stovetop. The cups are microwave safe if you are in a pinch. Check your microwave settings so you don’t overheat the broth.

– For stovetop, bring broth to simmer at low-medium heat.

– For microwave, check thawed broth after 2 minutes on high. We recommend checking frozen broth after 5 minutes on high.

How do I use my broth?

Any way you like! Most customers drink it warm, in place of tea or coffee. After heating the broth, add your seasonings of choice (sea salt, cayenne, turmeric, lemon, herbs) and enjoy! The options are endless! It can also be used as a soup base or to cook quinoa and cauliflower rice. Our favorite is to add it to whatever you are blending for your baby’s food!

How do subscriptions work?

Subscribe and receive 5% off your broth package, and never miss out on your weekly fix of nutritious broth! Your broths will be delivered weekly. Need to skip a delivery? No problem. Subscriptions can easily be placed on hold, modified, or cancelled. Simply login to your account to make the changes. All modifications must be made by 9pm on Sunday night for deliveries that week.

What is your return policy?

Cancellation and Order Change Policy.

All sales are final after 2 hours from the time the order was placed. Once an order has exceeded the 2 hour window, no changes/cancellations are possible. Similarly, if you wish to add to your order, Broth RX reserves the right to treat any additions as a second order.


Refund Policy.

While we do not accept returns for food products, we will issue credit for products that are damaged en route to their destination. Once the product leaves our warehouse and is shipped to you it cannot be restocked or resold to another customer. If there is a problem with your shipment, contact us via e-mail and we will work together to find a solution. To seek credit, please email us the following information:

-Order number

-Damaged product item description

-Condition of damaged product upon arrival, including pictures

-Date and time package was received


Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Once an order has been handed to shipping provider, Broth Rx is no longer responsible for the contents. We encourage our customers to use the tracking information we’ll provide to track shipments and retrieve their items promptly. Our broth is shipped frozen and packaged with dry ice, this will keep your broth frozen until you arrive home. Your bone broth shipment should be placed in the refrigerator or freezer as soon as possible after arrival.
